This year there will be some added value to your membership. We have just joined the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) which automatically makes all of our members a part of USGBC also. You do not have to be connected with the building trades or an architect or designer to receive value from  USGBC membership. They are working on making cities more sustainable through proper design and planning, working to make healthier schools which has been shown to raise student performance and the more familiar parts such as the LEED rating system to ensure environmentally sound and energy efficient buildings. You can be as active as you choose to be.
 
We are also including in this year’s renewal an individual membership with Co-op America (www.coopamerica.org) . Green to Gold Business Network is modeled after Co-op America which  is the largest national organization committed to sustainable business and investing.   Co-op America does excellent research and educates its members and the public about how to buy green, invest green and the truth green about products and services.    With this membership you will have access to the National Green Pages directory to find businesses around the state or country that may have a product or service you are looking for. These companies are all screened for running their business in a sustainable and ethical way practicing environmental and social stewardship
 
If you choose, you can have your business listed in their National Green pages green business directory for a separate fee.  A Green Pages listing will allow customers to identify and locate your green business as well as assures customers that your business is conducted in accordance with Co-op America guidelines. This publication is distributed to tens of thousands of subscribers nationwide and can give your business much exposure and credibility as well as generate referral business.
 
There is no increase in the dues for these two new additions (still $75 per year) and it still includes free meals for one member of your organization at our meetings and free display space anywhere G2G is displaying.
